Buffalo Check Fall Wreath (Revamping an old Wreath)

Lately, I’ve been prepping my brain cells for fall. Guys, it’s coming. 25 days. I’ve been swooning over some gorgeous warm & inviting front porches on Pinterest and waiting on Kroger to come on out with the apple cider. I decided to jump on the buffalo check wagon and while I was at Hobby lobby over the weekend I snagged this front porch rug. I don’t really like to switch outdoor rugs with the holiday season (unless there is a snazzy-looking clearance sticker involved) so this one was a winner for the reason I could use it during any season.

Buffalo Check Wreath

After getting this rug, I went searching for a fall wreath to incorporate a similar buffalo check pattern and get a theme going on my front porch and in my farmhouse fall decor. I found one I loved for a whopping 54 bucks but I wasn’t willing to shell out that much money for it. That left me nothing but to get creative. I decided to use the same wreath I had from last year to save me some moolah and just spice it up.

I found this pumpkin garland at Kirkland’s.

I used cutting plyers to snip off the wire piece that held the tied string.

Once I placed the pumpkins on the wreath in the correct spot in which I wanted them, I whipped out my glue gun.

That’s it! Hang that pretty thing on the door! Seriously the easiest craft there ever was and cost me a total of 12.99 since I repurposed last year’s wreath and had the glue gun and cutters on hand. You could disperse the pumpkins any way you like with any kind of wreath, I just liked them spread out. I’m tempted to make another one and maybe bunch them together 😉
