If you’re wondering who “us” is?
You may have figured it out already, but we’re Anthony and Brittany aka the DIY couple.
We’ve been married since 2011.
We moved around quite a bit, owned three houses, and just recently moved into our newest builder grade home in 2022, that we’re currently trying to make our own.
We absolutely love everything DIY. There is something so satisfying about finishing a project and figuring out how you can do-it-yourself.
That’s what led us to hitting publish on our first blog post. We love sharing our DIY ideas with you as we turn our house into a home.
On the DIY Couple Blog, you’ll find step-by-step project tutorials and ways to make your house a home through DIY.
Everything from detailed DIY tutorials, home improvements, to small organizing ideas.
You may see crafts or family content mixed in because we have three kids and when we’re not using loud power tools and paint brushes, that is where most of our time is spent.
We started this blog to document the progress we’ve made renovating, decorating and adding character to our builder grade home.

Here are some projects we’ve crossed off our list in our new home! This is a great place to start to gain some inspiration for your own home.
// Built double barn doors in front of our patio slider. We get quite a bit of sun in the back of our home and it was a great addition for privacy.
// Added a wood window cornice above our living room windows for a farmhouse look!
// Framed our boring nothing-but-glass builder grade mirror.
// Ripped out our ugly wire shelves and built some beaded farmhouse shelves.
// Organized and made the most out of our small pantry
// Painted our interior doors Sherwin Williams on the rocks (currently)
