Don’t be a grinch! Make this gnome wreath this holiday season with mostly Dollar Tree supplies! Such a fun and easy decoration to hang on your front door!
Supplies to make this gnome wreath
Dollar Tree (witch hat) wreath frame
Scissors
Hot glue gun (Here’s the one I use, it’s seriously amazing & has a detailed tip, Here’s the glue sticks as well)
Red craft paint (optional)
Easy gnome wreath diy Instructions
Gather all your florals. Take one stem off of the flocking ball florals (you’ll only need to spray paint one for the nose).
Step 1. Go ahead and spray paint your florals and give enough time to dry before going ahead with the following steps.
Step 2. Start by taking everything off the witch hat so all you have left is the frame.
Step 3. Now, cut the bottom off with your cutters.
Step 4. Weave your greenery picks through the frame until they are tightly secure. No glue or anything should be needed. I used the last floral pick to put right in the center (see photo below).
Step 5. Weave in the pick for the nose in the center as well.
Step 6. Pull the santa hat down over the frame. Bring it down over the nose and add some hot glue. Hot glue the rest of the front of the hat to the frame.
Step 7. Turn it over and fold the excess material together and staple. You’ll now need to cut a slit in the back of the hat so you can pull out the small string that came on it or you may attach your own string.
For the last part I reused the store tag that I cut off in the beginning, drew and cut out a heart then I painted it with red paint. The red paint I used did need a couple coats to fully cover.
That’s all there is to it! I think this grinch gnome decoration turned out too cute! All there is left to do is hang it on the front door.
