A fun, easy, and engaging thanksgiving activity which will become a masterpiece of autumn memories! It’s the perfect Thanksgiving preschool activity to make this fall season.
A sweet and tactile way to keep Jesus in our Thanksgiving traditions.
Capture the spirit of the fall season with this super simple thanksgiving craft that combines a message of faith and fingerprints while celebrating being “thankful for turkey and God’s blessings”.
Thanksgiving Preschool Activity-Fingerprint Turkey
This specific project-a turkey whose feathers are stamped with child-sized fingerprints, perched beyond a cross-serves as a visual prayer of Gratitude.

Our fingerprint turkey cross is a fantastic way to bridge the gap between holiday fun and meaningful reflection. It’s an easy to prep, inexpensive to make, and carries a message that lasts long after the Thanksgiving leftovers are gone.
It’s the perfect preschool activity for Sunday school or a quiet November afternoon at home.
As children grow, these tiny impressions become precious reminders of a season of life. With including a spiritual element, such as a cross, it transforms a simple piece of paper craft into a “faith-print”, that emphasizes the origin of all blessings.

Every child’s fingerprint is unique. By using their prints and creativity, you aren’t just making a decoration; you are documenting a specific moment in time. That is pretty awesome to think about.
Years from now, you won’t just remember the craft-you’ll see exactly how small those hands once were. That is why I adore these keepsake crafts so much! One day I will be asking the kids, do you remember this-as I pull out their sweet childhood papers.

You can create this thanksgiving preschool craft as easy as downloading a printable from our link. Unsure about printables? You can refer to my guide here.

Have child press finger in ink stamps, rotating the colors and applying their finger to each feather on the page.
Once it’s dry, they can color the cross if they choose to do so.
The turkey does not need to look “perfect”. The process of picking colors and stamping allows for personal expression.
Lesson of Gratitude
While the fingerprint art is drying, it’s the perfect time to talk to kids about what “blessings” actually are.
The Turkey: Representing the physical provision of food and family celebrations.
The Cross: Representing the spiritual foundation of grace and love.
The fingerprints: These represent the unique, individual way each person experiences God’s goodness.
