An Adorable feminine baby girl nursery (The Full Room Tour). I’m Sharing photos, diys, and all the details in our newest baby’s completed baby girl bedroom.
At the beginning of March, we welcomed a beautiful baby girl, little Ave.
Since she is the second baby, everything had to be big brother inspected and approved while getting her room ready for her arrival.
This is a tiring job for a little boy, a bear and a pup.
I was so worried that my little sidekick would be a tad bit jealous of the new baby and wondered how he would react when we brought her home. He is very much a mommas boy, although he’s a huge fan of daddy too. Turns out, nothing to be worried about. He really adores this little girl. He gives her tons of kisses and helps mommy throw her diapers away. Such a good big bro.
Here’s these two meeting for the first time.
I hope you enjoy our baby girl bedroom tour and the many projects that came along with it! Also, If you have one on the way I hope this gives you some inspiration and girl nursery ideas to decorate.
Nursery For Girl Room Tour
ACCENT WALL
Kicking off this girl nursery tour, you may remember me gabbing about that back wall behind the crib. It was a DIY using a herringbone pattern on the top half and board and batten on the lower half, with a stained board across the middle. For the how-to, check out my accent wall post here.
FURNITURE & ACCESSORIES
Wrapped around the slats of the crib is this breathable mesh crib liner. I avoided any kind of bumper pads and this thing got some good reviews to keep baby’s arms and legs out of the slats. The pretty sheets on the crib mattress go with my pink floral girl nursery theme. Of course anything you may spot in the crib on these photos will come out (the stuffed animals, pillows) so don’t be alarmed. I threw this pink rug down in front of the crib. It’s the perfect color. The chair with ottoman was given to us. The pink in it looks good with the room, but the blue plaid is not super match-y but it’s ridiculously comfortable. It rocks and allows me to prop my feet up so it’s all good.
Nursery For Girl: The Nursery Decor
NAME FOR NURSERY WALL
I searched high and low for some really large letters to put her name above the crib. I was originally going to buy these wooden letters and spray paint them gold, but I came across these gorgeous large Gold letters and they were perfect. Plus, no painting was involved, they just needed hung on the wall.
FLOWER BABY MOBILE
I had a crib mobile (similar to this one) packed away amongst my firstborn’s baby stuff. However, it was an elephant theme which was gray and would not match her room at all. So instead of buying a new one I decided to go ahead and attach the arm of the mobile to the crib and figure out something besides the elephants to hang from it. Here’s it attached to the crib before I came up with anything to hang from it. Since this arm of the mobile includes the motor for rotation and music, whatever I choose to hang will still be able to use those features for baby.
I saw this flower mobile and was obsessed with it. It’s beautiful and all, but I didn’t want to shell out that much money for it. I went to my local craft store, picked up these peony stems and was going to make my own.
It turned out to be one of my absolute favorite décor pieces in her room. You can find the steps on how I made this flower baby mobile here.
DIY BABY HEADBAND HOLDER
Hanging on Avery’s wall above her changing dresser is her baby bow holder. Again, another fun DIY. She had more bows than I knew what to do with. That’s how this adorably useful wall sign came about. Want to make a DIY baby headband holder? Head over here.
Along with the hanging bows, here are a few other things on the wall of her baby nursery. We kept the décor in this space rather simple.
This floral canvas painting wall art ties the pinks, whites, and the peony crib mobile all together. Next to it is our mounted video camera monitor. These are life savors, and I can see both babies on the main monitor screen in my room with this one since our little guy has one on his wall as well (it came with two cameras). It has the option to have up to four cameras I believe. I love how it has the remote pan, tilt and zoom so I can double check on my babies. Grateful my little guy’s not climbing out of his crib yet but when he does, I’ll appreciate those features a little more.
WOODLAND ANIMAL NURSERY PRINTS
Looking from the other angle of the room is these cute little woodland animal prints. These were incredibly cheap décor to make and can be put together in under ten minutes.
If you’d like a full tutorial on how I made these woodland nursery prints, check this out.
I have provided the free printables so you can get right to the project-you just need to print them out.
Nursery For Girl: The Closet
NURSERY CLOSET DIVIDERS
There are not too many details in her closet besides all her clothes hanging and extra boxes of diapers and wipes, but I did hang some nursery closet dividers to organize her clothing by the appropriate sizes.
They are the perfect addition to getting that baby room ready! They have the same floral design as the woodland wall décor I mentioned above.
Jump on over to this post to print your own set of these nursery closet dividers.
That pretty much sums up the tour. I am very pleased with how it all came together. We tried to keep most of these baby girl nursery ideas on a budget which is where some projects came into play.
